Attractiveness is very good for an excellent choir. Yet it’s not only the size of the concert halls or churches that the choir is able to fill or the mass of fans. Much more the choir needs to be attractive and interesting for each individual singer, needs to offer besides music and community also fun, motivation and maybe something special. Great programs, fascinating projects, concert ideas and much more comes to mind. What a choir has on offer is as diverse as the wishes and demands of the musicians. Often times the question is how to bring all this together and how to finance all of this. Sometimes the choir cannot deal with this on its own, especially a pretty young choir like the LJC Saar, who has developed recently with support of the Saarländischer Chorverband in an astonishing way. Besides the delight about this development, it is the objective of the LJC and its supporters to further foster this, so that the LJC will remain an attractive enrichment of the Saarland choir scene and a platform for the musican’s new blood to sing on high standards. For this purpose the Fostering Society Landesjugendchor Saar under the leadership of Regina Görner had been founded to further support the choir in the future ideationally and in monetary ways, so that LJC Saar can also in the future remain signboard of the choir union and can inspire and enthuse people in and beyond the region.
